The Saguaro SAR Chapter
The Saguaro SAR Chapter has served the communities of the western part of the Phoenix metropolitan area since 1965. We serve the residents of Avondale, Buckeye, El Mirage, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, the Sun Cities, Surprise, Tolleson, and Youngtown.
Our chapter welcomes visitors at our monthly meetings which are held generally the fourth Saturday morning of each month. We do not meet during the summer months of June, July and August. Our September meeting is the third Saturday of the month to celebrate Constitution Day in conjunction with the Agua Fria and Estrella DAR Chapters.
Its best to contact our Chapter Secretary to confirm meeting dates prior to making plans to attend a meeting as meeting times do change from time to time.
We meet at Chef Peter’s Bistro, located in the Sun Village, 17300 North Sun Village Parkway, Surprise, AZ 85374. Phone 623-322-1011. This is a gated community and you will need to stop at the gatehouse and request access.
If you have questions about the Saguaro SAR Chapter you can also reach out to our president..
Our focus is to support the patriotic, historic and educational mission of The Sons of the American Revolution.
We have a SAR Color Guard who participates in community civic and patriotic events.
We work with local schools to teach American history and the sacrifices our patriot ancestors made to found this country. We sponsor and support entries to the National SAR poster, brochure and essay contests annually.
We strive to honor, respect, and support the sacrifices of our veterans, especially those confined to residential and hospital facilities.
We support and encourage the Children of the American Revolution organization
at the local and state levels.
We provide education and recognition to those who honor our flag.
If you have an interest in joining SAR and you believe you have an ancestor who served in the American Revolution check out the process on our Join Now! tab and someone will assist you.
